Event Coordinator

The Education & Event Manager is the visionary behind learning opportunities and meaningful celebrations at Topix Salon. This role blends strategy with creativity to plan educational initiatives and organize events that foster growth, connection, and a sense of belonging within the salon team and community. You’ll ensure our team is always learning and that every milestone or gathering is a moment to remember.

Key Responsibilites

  • Collaborate with the team to identify and schedule trainings, workshops, and classes.

  • Partner with the Financial Strategy Specialist to establish budgets for educational opportunities.

  • Act as the main point of contact for guest educators and attend all guest-led sessions.

  • Organize and manage stylist birthdays, anniversaries, team parties, charity events, and community engagements.

  • Maintain a detailed calendar of events, educational sessions, and key milestones.

  • Recruit team members to share their expertise through internal classes as needed.

The Mentor plays a vital role in ensuring every new team member has a smooth and supportive introduction to Topix Salon. Over a 90-day period, you’ll act as their guide and confidant, helping them navigate our operations, culture, and expectations. Your leadership will lay the foundation for their success and connection to the team.

Key Responsibilites

  • Serve as a buddy for new hires, helping them integrate into salon operations.

  • Provide consistent guidance, support, and encouragement during their first 90 days.

  • Foster a sense of comfort and connection for new team members.

  • Offer insights and feedback to leadership about the onboarding process.

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Specialist to produce engaging content.

  • Design and format visual materials such as the employee handbook.

  • Follow creative briefs and utilize provided scripts or copywriting for projects.

This role ensures our online presence remains engaging and consistent by posting regularly and creating compelling content ideas. You’ll manage multiple platforms and work closely with the Graphic & Digital Design Specialist to bring content to life.

Key Responsibilites

  • Follow the salon’s social media strategy and maintain a consistent posting schedule.

  • Generate creative content ideas and collaborate with the design team for visuals.

  • Manage platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Yelp, Google, Nextdoor, and more.

  • Monitor social media trends and platform updates to keep our online presence fresh.
